Mardyke arena branding

The Mardyke Arena UCC is a sports and fitness facility located on the University College Cork (UCC) campus in Cork, Ireland.

The brief

Treetop Studio collaborated with the Mardyke Arena to develop a new brand identity for their High Performance Gym. The goal was to create a unique and distinguished look for this elite facility while still maintaining a strong connection to the existing Mardyke Arena brand.

We were presented with a challenging brief: to develop a standalone identity that reflected the high standards of the facility, without losing the essence of who we are as part of Mardyke Arena. Aisling rose to the challenge, combining creative insight with a deep understanding of our vision and needs.

BRAND STORY

 

The outcome is a bold, cohesive brand identity that not only stands on its own but also aligns beautifully with our core values. A key visual feature is an abstract tree — a symbol of growth — composed of many different parts. These represent the wide network of individuals and teams who contribute to the success of each athlete. The use of the Mardyke’s existing colour palette and typography ensures consistency and unity across all touchpoints.
