Infographic Workshop by Treetop StudioBack

I held my first infographic workshop in Waterford City Enterprise Centre on Saturday 27th Feb. The workshop was enabled through funding by DPP Skillnet & IDI. I was so excited about the day, even though I was a little nervous. (Did you know that public speaking is the number one fear people have, death is ranked 5th down the list!) I started off the morning introducing myself to the class with the aid of an infographic I had designed especially. I felt what better way to kick start the class, ‘practice what I preach’ and add some humour to my presentation with an infographic detailing some points about my own life. Things like, how many blaas I have eaten in my lifetime and how many cute characters I have created were the serious topics of conversation. After this, I carried on with my presentation, explaining what exactly an infographic is & what it is used for, among other points.

We discussed examples and I also showed the class some of my own work. After this, the group got working on their very own infographic. I was blown away by the ideas, each person brought their own unique approach and style to the table. Here are some of the infographics from this very talented bunch!

More infographic workshops are being planned for Dublin and Limerick over the coming months. Keep an eye on DPP Skillnet for details. Follow me on twitter @aisgriff to keep up to date with my goings-on.
